Mindfulness – everyone is talking about it but what is it really? Isn’t it just a fad?
This course explores just what mindfulness is and isn’t! We’ll explore different mindfulness approaches and discuss the critiques as well as the evidence of benefits. The course will introduce you to some of the science and philosophy behind mindfulness and allow you to experience the practices for yourself. The Waypoint approach is that mindfulness is a way of being compassionately present with whatever is.
Who is this course designed for?
This course is for people working with others, especially those working in health and social care, who have an interest in mindfulness practice and how it might complement their work with others.
This course is also suitable for people in recovery to help them consider how mindfulness might support their own and others’ recovery.
Please note this course will not qualify you to teach mindfulness.
