When is a risk too risky?
Risk Assessment is at the heart of so much of our work these days. Sometimes we assess the risk without thinking about how to manage it.
This course explores our perceptions of risk and the merits of viewing risk taking as having the potential of moving our clients towards a richer, more meaningful life. We will examine steps people might take in making changes in their lives and look at how we might evaluate the risks of those steps.
Learners will identify how to recognize, raise and respond effectively to risk and can practise using risk assessment tools with case studies. The session will draw to a close by discuss ideas for developing service/ practice responses to risk. And most importantly you will get to play with balloons and see what they can tell us about managing risk.
Cost : £95 Running Time: 1 day 10am – 4:30pm
